Maot Chitim

" Maot Chitim" refers to the centuries old custom of gathering  wheat to provide the poor with matzo and other items for the observance of Pesach.

Traditionally, Jewish communities provide for the needy at Pesach in one way or another. The practices have varied from place to place and changed over time, but the basic idea has remained the same.

In our community, Jewish Russian Center & Synagogue continues this important custom by ensuring that our recently arrived brethren from the former Soviet Union experience Pesach according to the Jewish Tradition.

Activities include:
· Distribution of Shmurah Matzah
· Passover Seddorim for over 400 people
· Model Seder and Matzah Bakery for children
· 1,000s educational pamphlets about Pesach and Mechiras Chometz contracts

Your donation will make possible these worthwhile endeavors.

You can send your Maot Chitim to
